What we provide

Three ways we can help

Every service is performed by a certified phlebotomist and handled to the same standard you would get at a patient service center.

Doctor ordered

Routine Blood Draws

Standard lab work without the waiting room. We come to you, draw at your kitchen table or bedside, and get the specimen to the lab the same day.

Kit from your lab

Specialty Kits

Specialty kits often have strict handling rules. We collect, prepare, and ship exactly to the lab’s protocol so the sample is not rejected.

Stat Labs

When your provider needs results quickly, we prioritize the collection and the transport rather than adding a day to the process.

Why mobile

A lab draw without the lab trip

The procedure, the equipment, and the handling standards are identical to a patient service center. What changes is that you are in your own space, which for most people means a calmer draw and a morning you get to keep.

  • No waiting room and no exposure to a room full of sick people
  • Works for limited mobility, chronic illness, and anyone who cannot easily travel
  • Easier on patients who find needles or clinical settings stressful
  • Specialty kits collected to the lab’s exact protocol, so samples are not rejected
  • Care facilities can have residents drawn on site
Getting ready

Before your appointment

  1. Have your lab order ready. Routine and stat draws are doctor ordered. Specialty kits come with their own paperwork.
  2. Ask us about fasting. Some panels need 8 to 12 hours without food. Tell us what was ordered and we will confirm.
  3. Drink water. Hydration makes the draw easier, unless your order says to fast from fluids too.
  4. Wear a short sleeve. Or something that pushes up above the elbow comfortably.
  5. Tell us about difficult veins. Common, and much easier to plan for in advance than to discover on the day.

Common questions

Questions people ask first

What is mobile phlebotomy?

A certified phlebotomist travels to you and performs the blood draw where you are, rather than you traveling to a patient service center. The collection, labeling, and transport follow the same standards as a lab draw. The location is what changes.

Do you come to my home?

Yes. We draw at homes, offices, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, and other locations you arrange. Most visits are at home.

Do I need a doctor’s order?

For routine blood draws and stat labs, yes. Specialty kits usually come with their own paperwork from the lab or practitioner and typically do not need a separate order. If you are unsure, call us and we will help you work it out before you book.

What areas do you serve?

Baltimore City and the surrounding counties, including Baltimore, Howard, Anne Arundel, Harford, and Carroll. If you are near the edge of that range, call and ask rather than assuming we cannot reach you.

How much does a mobile blood draw cost?

Call 940-532-1313 for current pricing. Cost depends on the service, your location, and whether the visit is routine or stat, and we would rather quote you accurately than post a number that does not apply to your situation.

Do you take insurance?

Call us to discuss billing for your specific situation. The laboratory bills separately for running the tests, which is a distinct charge from the collection visit.
